What this website collects
When you browse. The website sets no cookies and uses no analytics, advertising or tracking tools. Its fonts, images and the map on the contact page come from this website itself, so no other company learns that you visited. Like every website, our host, Cloudflare, receives your IP address and the details of each request, such as the page asked for and your browser type, in order to deliver the pages and protect the site from attacks.
When you use the contact form. We receive:
- your name, email address and message;
- the product you ask about, if you name one;
- the address of the page you sent the form from, and the time.
To keep the form free of spam, we also use:
- Cloudflare Turnstile, a check that tells people from automated programs. It loads only when you start filling in the form. It receives your IP address and technical information about your browser and device; see Cloudflare’s Turnstile privacy addendum.
- A rate limit, which counts the messages sent from each IP address over one minute, to stop floods of messages. The count is not kept after that.
Links to other websites. The share links on product and solution pages, and the map on the contact page, open LinkedIn, Facebook, X, your email program or Google Maps only when you click them. From then on, those services’ own privacy policies apply.
Why we use it, and on what legal basis
- To answer your message and, if you ask for one, to prepare a quote. This is a step you ask us to take before a possible contract (Article 6(1)(b) of the General Data Protection Regulation, GDPR).
- To protect the website and the form from abuse. This is our legitimate interest in a secure, working website (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR).
We do not use your details for marketing, and we do not sell them.
Who processes it for us
- Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the website, runs the form’s server code and provides Turnstile.
- Fastmail Pty Ltd provides our email: the form’s message is delivered to our mailbox there.
Both act on our instructions under data processing agreements. They may process data outside the European Economic Area; such transfers are protected by the European Commission’s standard contractual clauses.
How long we keep it
The website does not store what you send: the form passes it on as an email and keeps no copy. We keep your message and our correspondence for as long as we need them to answer you and to handle any business that follows. We delete enquiries that lead to no business after two years.
Your rights
You have the right to ask us for access to your personal data, and to have it corrected or deleted; to restrict or object to its use; and to receive it in a portable format. To use any of these rights, write to info@samgas.ro.
You also have the right to complain to the Romanian data protection authority, the Autoritatea Națională de Supraveghere a Prelucrării Datelor cu Caracter Personal (ANSPDCP), at www.dataprotection.ro.
Changes
If we change how this website uses personal data, we will update this page and the date at the top.
